My Funny Valentine

These Valentines were created to stimulate both hemispheres (BLS) of your brain. BLS is a large part of the EMDR work I do in my private practice. Though we are not exactly sure how it works, BLS is believed to help integrate neurobiology. (Imaging scans are part of the many research studies confirming this important to mental-wellness brain activity.) So, my intent with the Valentines was to make sure your own neurobiology confirms within your being that you are loved. Happy Valentine's Day!

A popular neuroscientist on Neural Integration:

A popular clinician/author on BLS:
"We can face the challenges that life presents us with more ease if we can draw from the reservoir of love in our life. Contained in this wellspring are all the memories of loving and being loved, experiences with cherished family and friends from our past and present life. Even though we may lose contact with it, the love we have received never goes away. It continues to abide in our hearts. When we remember those who have given us this gift, it can sustain us throughout the course of our lives, through all the challenges our lives present us. This reservoir of love can be tapped in so that we are better able to make use of the gift."
-Dr. Laurel Parnell, Tapping In

PS) In the coming weeks I'm going to scan my different Valentines so you can print them next year and send them to your own loves. Last Year's Valentine.
