I am excited to receive this piece of mystery jewelry in the mail this week. I paid $5 for it.
The baroque centerpiece intrigues me. The first thing I am going to do is have Cody take it to work and X-ray the piece so I can determine if these are cultured pearls or not. Also, is that an opal?
Edit: I just went out the front door and found it waiting on my porch! It's delicate and beautiful! ...I wonder who made it?
Another Edit: Thanks, Aunt K. I am now wondering True moonstone or rainbow Labradorite? Hmmm. I guess it's a job for a jeweler. Whatever it is, it sure is rainbowy and shiny with the color flashing along faults in the stone.

Definitely looks like an opal although it might also be a moonstone. Can't wait to find out what Cody discovers.
