The painting was finally dry enough to put the gold leaf on. I love it!

Edit: I have just started repainting nearly the entire piece. I could not live with the opening or the space below it. I'll post new photos once it's reworked...and releafed!

I loved Mason's video work! Glad I got to see it in person yesterday. I am still a little worried about your carpet as the gold leaf was still all over it. It doesn't adhere to the carpet fibers? I guess that would be beautiful, too.
