shiny, new and not made by me.

I finally changed out my diamond after years of considering a new setting.

I went in knowing the only change I wanted was to go with white gold. The other big difference is that my new ring has only 4 prongs while the old has 6 so more of the diamond will be seen! More sparkle!

Despite 3 hard sales attempts (all of them gaudier and wider and "better"), I am pleased to say I stuck with the 2mm Tiffany ring and band.

I don't think they knew how clearly I knew exactly what I wanted. Even the tiniest variation would have been unacceptable. They even tried to talk to me about scrapping my yellow-gold band. DUH! It is going to go"sit in [my] jewelry box" until I decide I'd like to see my diamond set in yellow gold again, thank you!

It was fun buying the rings with Cody. He was in rare form---reminded me of my dad when he'd take me shopping back in the day. The sales lady even called him a "Peach". Haha. I said, "That's why I keep him around!" Generous and funny. I love my man and all my rings represents.
