Two were a joke, two were sincere.
First Cody gave me a big bunch of hot pink, long-stem Zinnias. Then he presented me with the Fireman calendar in case I wanted to struggle with the 13 year itch. This was an obvious joke as I don't have a thing for hulking, muscle-y guys with bigger boobs than mine. To make up for the Fireman obscenity, Cody gave me the Michael Jackson video next. (While this might sound backwards to some (Kendra and Rachel, haha) it's the way God made this girl.) Next Cody gave me the precious log I've been wanting for over a year! After Cody took me to Sabor (for my favorite Latin cuisine) we got to the Warren theatre only to find out the movie times on the website were incorrect. We wanted to see The Invention of Lying---but settled for Zombieland instead. Sure, I had to watch a good part of the movie through the slats of my fingers which instinctively sheltered my eyes, but this silly joke of a movie ended up being pretty funny. My favorite scene included a three legged zombie race.
This is what I'll be doing with my tree stump. The whole family will actually enjoy this gift. Right now I bang my ring mandrel against my bench---it echoes in every corner of the house. A big stump like this absorbs a lot of shock and noise.
I'll be watching the Michael Jackson video this weekend. If anybody else out there wants me to get them presale tix to the MJ movie that's coming to the Warren soon (for two weeks only) I'll be glad to add your tickets to mine and save you a seat or two! Just let me know.
Also, I just have to say that marrying Cody is the best decision I've ever made. I realize this more every day. I know it sounds cliche, but I mean every word. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

hey i like MJ. it's kinda like madonna. i don't really think twice about the person singing the music but it's the music I like. I think I like simply b/c it's fun to sing to.
Wow, I won! Yay!
Was it a particular stump that you were wanting, or any stump?
I know you wanted to see the "Invention of Lying" but I thought you might find this article interesting. Here is the link to it. http://www.christianpost.com/article/20091006/hollywood-s-big-atheist-comedy-pokes-fun-at-christians-man-in-the-sky/index.html
It apparantly is an attack on faith as a whole but blatantly an attack on christians as a whole. Maybe it is a good thing you couldn't go see it.
I commend you on your comments about your husband and your marriage. Marriage is difficult and the fact that you have remained together for 13 years is awesome but especially the way that you write about him is amazing. You appear to truly love your husband but also support him and treasure him. He is a very blessed man indeed.
