A successful Experiment.

When my friend Justin asked me to sketch some ideas for Westlink's upcoming series, RISK, I was flattered. I knew it would have to be a collaborative effort due to the fact that I have no formal, and little informal graphic design experience. Turns out Justin was the perfect person to collaborate with; working with him was amazingly easy! I knew which style was my favorite (doesn't take a genius to spot), but Justin wisely chose the style that would appeal to his "audience" and re-worked it from there.

Yesterday I got these in the mail with a nice note.

There was also a check enclosed. How totally foreign to me to get paid for my "art" time, yet how thoughtful and generous of Justin, of Westlink.

I recognize I am a lucky girl. I get to do what I love whether or not I am paid for it.
