A wish *finally!* come true

For the longest time, I have wanted to put my own images into silver. That's actually what lead me to silversmithing at Cityarts. I thought I'd cast my images. Then I thought I'd steel stamp my images. Expense forced me to get creative.

In came the silver clay. Right away I began looking into the stamp making process. There are a million ways to make stamps, but last week finally I settled on the clear photo polymer type. Today I made my first photo polymer stamp from one of my sketches---and tonight I get to see it impressed on a solid silver pendant.

This sketch stands for Faith, Hope and Love---the Cross, the Anchor and the Heart---are all represented.

I made several other cool stamps and already got them into the clay, too. All are going in the tumbler tonight for perfect mirror shine. I'll photograph and post them as soon as they are ready.

What a mess!

That poor countertop--is it going to live through your metal working? Momba
