What's next?

I'm already thinking about and planning for what I want to try next. I think I want to do more with enamel.

Here's a crude bracelet I made while at CityArts. I didn't have a clue what I was doing, but that was the beautiful part about my teacher Kathy. I didn't scare her. I probably should have. Don't tell her I tried to enamel on a penny, okay? Some things are just better never known.

I stuck this bracelet in the kiln and actually forgot about it. I think I actually only had clear enamel and maybe one other color on it---the rainbow came from the copper and glass chemicals burning together. I learned from this piece that you can't bend metal that's been fused with glass. Duh. Tiny glass fractures and flaking resulted. (I had initially formed it better but the high heat warped the copper.)

This bangle looks like it's been slimed but I like it because I also learned from it. I still wonder how round things are evenly enamelled, top and bottom? I have a few theories I'd like to try.

Here's that piece I made for Matt back then.

So anyhow, some day I'll probably be embarassed that I posted these pictures. Oh well, they are part of the process. Gotta learn some how!
