Patina

Everything pictured here is .925 sterling silver

---I am experimenting with different chemicals and heat treatments to see the variety of colors I can create with one metal. I'm documenting, so hopefully lightening will strike twice, and when I want it to.

Makes a plain stack of forged rings look kind of cool, eh? We can thank my husband's late grandfather (Read about him in Tom Brokaw's book The Greatest Generation, CC Briscoe) and his grandmother for one of the chemicals, Liver of Sulfate. A long time ago I found the old Merck bottle in with his leather tools. I have yet to figure out why he would have been using it on leather....

Melanie,

I'm so impressed! These are so cool!

My mom said she wore her pendant today and has already gotten lots of compliments. I wore my O pendant today too and have had comments and compliments. Do you still have pendants? I wanted to order a couple for some Nashville friends.
