See the poll on the right? Help a sista out and let me know what you think---
I think I'll be making a bunch of these Doo-Dahs for the craft fairs/Christmas season this fall. Here's the first bunch minus findings. They are about 1.5 inches across. I can hardly wait to add some of my own images to them, but for now I started with papers I already owned.
I will be able to make these things pretty inexpensively, so I think they will sell well. The findings (bail hanger and necklace) is where these things get a little expensive. Technically I could make them all with the capability to be any one of the items in the first question. (I'm a little worried the keychain thing won't be as sturdy, though, as say if I drilled holes in them---but then they could only be keychains.) I wonder though if there's a general preference? Thanks for your help. If you can think of anything else I might need to consider, your feedback is always welcome.
Oh yeah, I'll probably sell these as $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00.
Hope you like'em! Now what to do with them....

Would enjoy Christmas pendants, but you probably already thought of that.

Is it possible to combine the face and the finding on the spot? If so, you could have a few samples of each. The buyer could then buy one of the samples or have one customized for them. And, if you run out of samples, you could make more on the spot based upon what is selling. Just a thought ...

I agree with the idea of having a choice for the consumer but if that is too diffuclt, costly and/or time consuming, I think the better match material wise is the leather chord. The other choices in my opinion would be too shiny and not match the quality of the pieces you have created. Maybe if the finish on the chains was a matte finish as opposed to a glossy one. That's my only thoughts there. Giving the consumer a choice always suits consumer need better but not always artisitc vision and quality but that is your choice to make. I really like them. In case I have not told you enough... you are truly blessed. -- Regina
what about putting something weighty on the bottom and having some of them like paper weights or decorative pieces? they're so beautiful anyway you do it.
i know what karmen is talking about! i'd like to see a demonstration nonetheless.
Chill....I would be glad to! This Sat., 5:30pm. Bring your friends!
I don't know what they are...but they like almost everything you make are fabulous. Yay you. You are so so so talented. I love how God has gifted you with your creativity. Dang, you are so amazing. I adore you to pieces.
Would like it if it were a clasp on a purse or wallet or soemthing like an interchanble clasp where you could buy a set and change it with the mood...alot more work I know...
Think those watches in the 80s where you could buy the different color rings for the faces...only cool!
Those are lovely, as usual. A matter of opinion, I'm not a fan of the extra bling, but that's just me. I suppose it matters how big they are but there's all sorts of possibilities. I'd just sell it with the bale or finding and let the people find their own hanging apparatus. Or have them available as an extra.
