An old poem off the hard drive: Erosion

Erosion

hidden
although exposed
the curious human
whose mind stiffens
her body
betrays

clouds roll
drawing with them
a great curtain
whose heavy presence
is marked
gray

weightless
bearing down on
the colorful shell
whose drained pigment
is swept
away

eyes darken
slowly barring
the brittle soul
whose open windows
fail
today

exposed
although hidden
the curious human
whose body stiffens
her mind
betrays
