Pearl Petal set
I didn't get to go to class tonight but that didn't stop me from playing with metal. This set is made from fine silver sheet (not p m clay) and pearls. The actual ear wires are .925 store bought but worked better than any I could make for this design.
When I first started with silver I loved the raw, oxidized look. I still love it, but only when I intentionally want it and can control it---a tedious process. The really great thing about fine silver is that it does not oxidize when put under the torch. I was able to hammer and anneal, twist, bend, manipulate, and anneal again and again without having to pickle or flux over and over.
Just before I set the pearls I pickled the silver to a matte white finish---my favorite because it really reflects the purity of the silver.
(Yes, still haven't figured out the photo part. I think I need Kimmie to come fix my camera...or me!)

The pictures are just fine. Have you tried the macro mode? Also, I have been thinking about making this soon: light tent I'll bet we can try to make a collapsible one for you.
These are gorgeous!

Yeah, I like the silver ones way better. When are you opening your gallery?
